Broiler Farms
Broiler Farms are where chickens are grown for the purpose of producing poultry meat.
We have a number of company owned and operated farms as well as numerous independent contract farmers to meet the demands of our customers.
Our chickens are delivered to farms as day old chicks. The desired processing age is determined by our customers weight specifications, but is normally achieved between 5 to 8 weeks of age at which time they are scheduled for delivery to the processing plant.

Interesting Facts
One chicken house can typically accommodate 45,000 chickens, with a total body mass of 120,000 kilos. During a single growing batch, these chickens will consume 200 tonnes of feed, drink 600,000 litres of water and produce 30 tonnes of chicken manure.
